We only care about enjoying the outdoors in the few months we have before the cold weather moves in. We start our Dahlias early and if we are lucky we start getting beautiful blooms around mid July. At Butterwood Dahlia our elevation is around 7400 feet  making our season a little more challenging. Our Dahlias grow in a Ponderosa Pine forest providing them protection from the harsh Colorado winds.
